Misc pictures

I have way too many cute pictures on my phone. So here is just a whole bunch of misc ones from since Finn was born.

Finn and his cousin James who are only 1 day apart.

Westin's been reading chapter books to Serena every night. We picked up The BFG and Matilda from the library and she was SUPER excited. So far she is LOVING The BFG.

Pictures

We had Brittney do Finns newborn pictures and she got a few of Serena with him and some of the whole family. I LOVE THEM!  Brittney always does such a fantastic job. Here are some of my favorites, Enjoy!

Doesn't my husband look super handsome in this picture?

Can you guess what the theme for the pictures were?

Halloween

This year we were all Adventure Time characters for Halloween. (If you haven't seen the show on Cartoon Network, you should. Super fun and silly). Westin was the Ice King, Serena was Princess Bubble Gum, Finn was Finn the Human, and I was Marceline the Vampire Queen. I think it was one of my favorite halloween s.

Baby boy!

I know it has been forever since I have updated.  Life is just way too crazy.  In the last 4 months we have moved twice, graduated from college (at least Westin did), started a real job, and gotten very VERY pregnant.  I had planned a whole big blog post talking about Celiac Disease/infertility boring stuff and I just never got around to it so instead you get this very shortened version and it goes like this:

We were having a hard time getting pregnant after we had Serena and after trying numerous other options (fertility pills, diets, ect...) I finally got diagnosed with Celiac Disease which can cause infertility.  3 months after going gluten free I got pregnant without really trying!  So, Celiac Disease is hereditary so if you are related to me and are having a hard time getting pregnant it is probably something you should check into.  And I am more than happy to talk about it (infertility, all the in's and out's of eating gluten free) with anyone.  If you have questions please don't hesitate to call, email, facebook...

End of what could have been a super long blog post.

Anyway, we are super excited to have this little boy joining our family!  Here is the pregnancy announcement my super creative husband came up with.  Although, I am afraid to say that I think my belly might be even bigger than he predicted... you be the judge.

5.5 Weeks

37..5 Weeks

This pregnancy has been so much different than my first!  I was super sick with both, but this time seems to have been a different kind of sick, and it has been trickier finding things to nibble on that are gluten free (but not impossible, and not disgusting). Serena was such a tiny baby (5.5 lbs when she was born at 37 weeks) that this pregnancy seems much more uncomfortable.  I had an ultrasound at 34 weeks and he was already 4.75 lbs!  Which means now he is way bigger than Serena was when she was born and I still have 2 weeks till my due date!  But it is kind of fun waiting to see when I will go into labor.  Every time I call my mom she asks if I'm in labor yet, definitely different than just going in at 37 weeks and having a c-section like I did with Serena.

We are all so excited and anxious for this baby to be born. Serena is so happy to get to be a big sister and just loves all the baby things we've been pulling out for baby brother.  Westin is pretty much gone this whole week for work, so we are hoping for this little guy to come sometime after Friday, and since I'm not due till October 15th, I'm thinking I will be able to make it at least till then... hopefully.  Actually part of me really wants to have him RIGHT NOW! But I suppose I can wait till he is ready to come on his own.

I have some other blog posts I want to get done before this guy comes so don't be surprised if another one or two pop up before the big baby announcement... but then again don't be surprised if they don't get done either.

Admittedly not the best ultrasound picture, but I just love those cheeks and lips!  Can't wait to kiss them!

Serena is getting too big!

I have to write down this story before I forget it.

A couple of days ago Serena found a seed of some kind and insisted on planting it in the garden out front.  Ever since then she keeps checking the garden to see if it has "blossomed" (I am pretty sure it never will but that doesn't matter too much).  Well today she ran out to check on it and ran inside with her eyes filled to the brim with excitement.  She had in her little hand the beginnings of a weed.  Then she looked at me and said in the sweetest little voice "One day someone will marry me and I will go to the temple and then I can wear this flower!"   I almost died it was so sweet.  I LOVE this little girl just so much, she is getting so big and is so full of personality.

And just because every post deserves a picture, here is a picture of Serena in her Easter outfit.

Also, I have a post in the works about our baby coming in October, but we'll see when it actually gets posted, it is coming though.

First Day of Sunbeams!

Serena went to Sunbeams today. I can't lie, I had a bit of a mom moment when I left her sitting there on the front row in the primary room. She seemed so grown up! I didn't get a picture before church and she changed out of her church dress and into her new Snow White dress as soon as we got home, so here is a cute picture of her first day in Sunbeams. Also consider it a teaser- pictures of our trip to California/Disne land soon!
